These Terms & Conditions govern your use of The Little Lights website and digital platform.
By creating an account, starting a free trial, purchasing a subscription or otherwise using The Little Lights, you agree to these Terms.
1. About The Little Lights
The Little Lights is a parent-support digital platform designed to help parents and caregivers organise information, record observations, identify patterns, support routines, celebrate progress and access relevant tools and resources.
The platform may also include content and resources relating to neurodivergence, parenting and family wellbeing.
The Little Lights does not provide medical, psychological, therapeutic, legal or other professional advice.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or purchase a subscription.
Accounts are intended for parents, caregivers or other adults using the platform for their own family-related purposes.
3. Your account
You are responsible for:
- providing accurate account information
- keeping your login details confidential
- maintaining the security of your account
- ensuring that information you upload or enter may lawfully be provided by you
You must notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Free trial
The Little Lights may offer a 30-day free trial.
Payment details may be required when the trial begins.
Unless you cancel before the end of the free-trial period, your selected subscription will automatically begin and the applicable subscription fee will be charged.
We may send a reminder before your first paid charge, but you remain responsible for cancelling before the trial ends if you do not wish to continue.
5. Subscription pricing
The current subscription options are:
- AED 29 per month
- AED 290 per year
Prices may change in the future.
Any price change will apply prospectively and, where appropriate, users will be notified before the new price takes effect.
6. Automatic renewal and cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled.
Monthly subscriptions renew each month and annual subscriptions renew each year.
You may cancel your subscription through the available membership or account-management controls.
Cancellation prevents future renewals but does not automatically entitle you to a refund for amounts already charged, except where required by applicable law.
Access will normally continue until the end of the current paid billing period.
7. Refunds
Subscription fees are generally non-refundable once charged, except where required by applicable law or where we expressly agree otherwise.
If you believe you have been charged incorrectly, contact us as soon as possible.
8. Platform content and tools
The Little Lights may provide journals, trackers, summaries, routines, resources, prompts, wellbeing tools, AI-assisted features and other functionality.
These tools are intended to support organisation and reflection only.
They are not intended to diagnose a child, replace a qualified professional, recommend medical treatment or provide professional clinical advice.
You should seek appropriately qualified professional advice where necessary.
9. AI-assisted features
Certain features may use artificial intelligence or automated processing.
AI-generated summaries or outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate or inappropriate for a particular situation.
You should review any AI-generated content before relying on it.
AI-generated outputs should not be treated as medical, diagnostic, therapeutic or professional advice.
10. User content
You retain ownership of information, notes, journal entries, documents and other content you submit to the platform.
You grant The Little Lights the limited rights necessary to host, process, store and display that content solely for the purpose of providing and operating the service.
You are responsible for ensuring that any content you upload does not infringe another person's rights or violate applicable law.
11. Acceptable use
You must not:
- misuse or attempt to interfere with the platform
- attempt to access another user's account
- probe, bypass or defeat security measures
- upload malicious code
- copy, scrape, reverse-engineer or reproduce the platform for commercial purposes
- use The Little Lights content, templates, designs or tools to create a competing product or service
- use the platform for unlawful, abusive or fraudulent purposes
We may suspend or terminate access where these Terms are breached.
12. Intellectual property
The Little Lights name, branding, website, platform design, illustrations, copy, features, templates, resources, downloadable materials and other original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Except where expressly permitted, you may not copy, reproduce, redistribute, sell, modify or commercially exploit our content.
Personal, non-commercial use of materials made available within your account is permitted where intended.
13. Availability of the service
We aim to keep The Little Lights available and functioning reliably, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
We may update, change, suspend or remove features from time to time.
Maintenance, technical problems, third-party service interruptions or other events may occasionally affect availability.
14. Third-party services
The Little Lights relies on third-party providers for services such as hosting, payments, email, analytics and automated functionality.
We are not responsible for outages, failures or actions of third-party services beyond our reasonable control.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Little Lights is not responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of the platform.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
You remain responsible for decisions made using information recorded, organised or generated through the platform.
16. Suspension or termination
We may suspend or terminate access where necessary for security, legal or operational reasons, or where a user materially breaches these Terms.
You may stop using the platform and cancel your subscription at any time.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
Where changes are material, we may notify users through the platform or by email.
Continued use of The Little Lights after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms where permitted by law.
18. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the legal entity operating The Little Lights.
